All the times I have popped in to Lilac Welgelegen to visit my cousin I have been pleasantly surprised. There is always variety of games, creative art times, outside area activities shared, individual care....and always staff around helping one way or another .... there is always something going on - everyone looks content or happy .. its always clean and the staff are really pleasant.

My mother (92) has been in the facility for 18 months now. I have no complaints only compliments. When a close friend of mine got seriously sick I recommended Lilac to his family. they were so glad they placed their father there

When my brother, Robert Smith (Unit21) joined Lilac Rosehaven Durbanville on 15 April 2025, he was still very much rough around the edges due to a brain Aneurism he had in October 2023. Since the onset of his illness/condition, he has been through various hospitals and care facilities, but non as so caring, effective and uplifting than Lilac Rosehaven Durbanville. We all know the term "horses for courses" and that is exactly what Lilac Rosehaven is - the right person for the right job. Where other facilities gave up on Robert, the personnel of Lilac persisted, because they knew his problem and could act accordingly. When Robert was transferred to Lilac Rosehaven on 15 April 2025, he was bedridden with a slim chance of improving his mobility or independence - never mind for him to be able to walk again. And that is exactly where Robert is today with the help and dedication of the carers, as well as the weekly inputs of his physiotherapist - although not fully independent yet, but we are getting there. My wife always gets the best care at Lilac Welgelegen, she has been at the facility for 5 years and I am always satisfied with Lilac, with management, nursing staff , carers (big ups to to them for working so hard!!) . You can never go wrong with having your loved one at Lilac . Thank you Lilac, keep up the good work !!

Lilac Residence has cared for my mum for the past 5 years with kindness, love and understanding. The staff are exceptionally fond of the residents and treat them like family. They bring joy and happiness, particularly to the residents with Dementia. The facility is super clean, well run and managed. I cannot praise them highly enough.

This is what they promise .... "At Lilac Rosehaven residence , we are deeply committed to providing compassionate, respectful and quality care to all our residents." ... and this is exactly what they deliver. My 87 year old father has been a resident at the Durbanville facility for 18 months now and I have nothing but the highest of praise for every aspect of the care that he receives.

It is a great place for looking after your parents or family member in that sensitive part of life. They really knowledgeable compared to my other experiences of finding a care facility, and have always been accomodating and supportive in such a difficult stage with a family member.
